FAREAST 23R

This modern design boasts a powerful square top main and large asymmetric kite. Handling is easy with the absence of a backstay and extremely comfortable to race with a cockpit larger than any other boat of its size.

The fast hull lines of the Fareast 23R are similar to the very successful FarEast28R which has delivered fantastic race-winning performance. The wide beam provides a great platform for those awesome downwind planing rides and the 23R is easy to sail.  The deep spade rudder offers very great control and handling is uncomplicated, the absence of a backstay makes gybing the square top main easy.  Also, the form stability from the hull is high, resulting in safe and controlled high speed runs.

The keel can be fully lifted and the overall light weight enables easy trailering and home storage. Some small but very practical details: the off centre hatch makes it easy to enter the cabin when the keel is up and the chamfered deck edge reduces hiking pain, in the back of the crew’s legs.

The 23R is built to Fareast's high quality standards. Hull and deck are foam core sandwich. Pre weight resin is vacuum infused to achieve a light and faultless construction. The one piece structural inner frame forms a very stiff "spine" that distributes the keel, mast and rigging forces. Finishing and overall quality is very high and only the best hardware from leading brands like Selden, Harken and Spinlock are used as standard.

The Fareast 23R design and construction is thoughtful throughout and the boat is perfectly balanced, including the price, which delivers unequalled value for money.
